Hamburg, 11.06.07 Eingestellt von Marko Werz zum Thema: Francis Alÿs als Textportrait.

Forum:Vielleicht müssen wir wirklich lernen, mit verschiedenen Geschwindigkeiten zu operieren. Es geht heute morgen um die Reibflächen, die dann entstehen, wenn Politik etwas will und Kunst etwas schafft.

Die Interessen der Politik an der Kunst haben sich historisch bekanntlich gewandelt; Sie brauchen nur an das Stichwort Mäzenatentum zu denken oder an das Stichwort der "Auskleidung", der Benutzung von Kunst zur staatlichen Selbstdarstellung.

Man kann weiter vom aufklärerischen Interesse der Politik an der Kunst reden, drittens kann man dann - und Sie sehen, ich bin hier vom bürgerlichen Lager jetzt bis zu den Grünen gewandert - auch vom Schutz der Natur vor der Kunst reden. Das heißt, es ist ein ganzes Bündel von Interessen.

Um Ihnen bei diesem - zugegeben - etwas großen Thema einen direkteren Einstieg zukommen zu lassen, haben wir zwei Museumsmacherinnen, wenn ich diesen nicht sehr appetitlichen Begriff einmal so benutzen darf, gebeten, Erfahrungen aus ihrer jüngsten Arbeit vorzutragen. Marie Louise von Plessen wird damit anfangen.
